On November 22, the Herndon Parks and Recreation department will be holding its annual Herndon Turkey Trot 5K on the Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place finishers in each age group, and to the overall male and female winner.

After the race, participants will be eligible to win door prizes donated by area businesses.

Along with a small registration fee, each participant will be asked to donate one canned good. All food will be donated to LINK, a non-profit charity organization benefiting the northern Virginia area.
