Acumen Solutions Jingle All the Way 10K

Acumen Solutions Jingle All The Way 10K to Support
The Seed Foundation

Capital Running Company and Acumen Solutions, Inc. Partner
From the official press release
October 2, 2005
Vienna, VA
For the Washington Running Report

Acumen Solutions, Inc., in partnership with Capital Running Company, is pleased to announce that the Acumen Solutions Jingle All the Way 10K proceeds will support The SEED Foundation. The race will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 in West Potomac Park in Washington, DC.

In the same spirit as previous Jingle Bell Runs, local runners will have the opportunity to compete in five-year age groups from 19 and under to 80 and above to help raise money for charity. Acumen Solutions and Capital Running Company are excited to bring a jingle-bell themed holiday running event back to the Nation's capital.

The race course, the fast track around the tip of Hains Point, is USATF-certified. On-site registration and packet pickup will be held on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at the Lyon Village Community House, 1920 North Highland Street, Arlington, VA. The hours are 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday.

All participants will receive a long-sleeved holiday t-shirt, jingle bells for their shoes, and be eligible for raffle prizes. Post-race food and entertainment will also be provided along with an awards ceremony to congratulate the winners.

For more information on the race, including links to the course map and on-line registration, visit the race Web site.

About The SEED School of Washington, DC
In 1998, The SEED Foundation established the nation's first urban public boarding school-The SEED School of Washington, DC. The SEED School's full-time, tuition-free boarding program is open to all rising 7th grade students in the District. Admission is determined randomly by a lottery that is held every June. All students live on campus, enabling them to benefit from an integrated curriculum that incorporates academic, extracurricular, and life skills. The SEED School is located in the community, which increases parental involvement and reinforces SEED's mission of helping children by revitalizing inner cities. The Washington, DC program is firmly established and now serves as a national model for similar schools. For more information, please visit www.seedfoundation.com or call (202) 785-4123.
