A Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event

Former William and Mary runner and current VIMS student William Tarantino (23) of Gloucester Point,VA ran a 15:33 to win by more than two minutes and came within seven seconds of the race record of 15:26 at the 15th annual William and Mary Homecoming Run 5K held Saturday morning at the campus of W&M. W&M head men's cross country and track coach Alex Gibby set the race record in 1998.

In the women's division Aurora Scott (16) of Chesapeake, VA won by two and a half minutes with a time of 17:16. She was the second runner across the finish line. Scott ranked the #2 high school runner in Virginia also broke the all-time Colonial Road Runners record for women 15-19 with her time breaking the previous mark of 17:43 by Lindsay Van Alstine (17) of Midland Park, NJ at the 2002 Vineyards of Williamsburg 5K Run.

W&M Homecoming race record for women is 16:42 set by Sonja Friend-Uhl (32) of West Palm Beach, FL in 2003.
