For the fifth consecutive year, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today a donation of $25,000 to become a major sponsor of the Marine Corps Marathon. AT&T will serve as the title sponsor of the Finish Festival and allow race participants and spectators to make free global calling to their friends and family members.

"AT&T is truly honored to be associated with the U.S. Marine Corps Marathon," said Steve D'Lugos, sales center vice president-AT&T Government Solutions, a unit of AT&T that serves the federal government. "Year after year, the U.S. Marine Corps does an outstanding job managing the Marathon. AT&T is proud to provide free long distance and other services to the men and women participating in the Marathon."

AT&T Government Solutions will provide a booth at the Finish Festival where race participants and spectators can make free global calling to their friends and family members through the use of one of AT&T's specially equipped disaster recovery and emergency communications vans, which offers voice over satellite communications. The AT&T communications van, which was used in the Gulf Coast region following Hurricane Katrina to provide satellite-based phone calling for emergency workers, will be positioned near the finish line.

"For several years, AT&T has continued to play an important role supporting the Marine Corps Marathon," said Rick Nealis, MCM Race Director. "By offering runners the opportunity to place free phone calls after they finish the race, AT&T once again shows its strong commitment to the MCM."

AT&T has 13 employees from across the company, many from AT&T Government Solutions, who have dedicated themselves to a rigorous training schedule to prepare for the world's eighth- largest marathon.
