Innovative Half-Marathon and 10K Running Events Tailored for Women

Today Premier Sports Productions, LLC launched ZOOMA Women's Race Series, a new concept in national running races designed to inspire women to lead healthy lives with more perks and bigger parties. ZOOMA half marathon and 10K races will utilize a unique "girls' weekend" atmosphere to encourage women to train for and accomplish challenging fitness goals. ZOOMA events will be rolled out in cities across the U.S. beginning with the first event in Annapolis, Maryland on June 1, 2008. ZOOMA participants enjoy a host of free luxuries, including localized online group training, one-on-one interactive coaching, an unprecedented race day experience, and a one-of-a- kind ZOOMA After-Party Expo complete with shopping, manicures, pedicures, wine tasting, "ladies' lunch," and much more.

ZOOMA Annapolis, the first event of the national series, takes place in Annapolis, Maryland on June 1, 2008 and will include a half-marathon, 10K with separate jogging stroller division, and kids' fun run. Runners will start at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and run through scenic Annapolis, entertained and cheered on by their families, neighborhood groups and local spirit squads. To accommodate the busy schedules of many women, ZOOMA will also offer race packet mail services. For additional motivation, participants have the option of creating local training groups with other participants to prepare for race day using the online ZOOMA Trainer.

Nationwide, 65% of participants in half-marathon distance races are female. President of Premier Sports Productions, LLC Brae Blackley explains, "Ultimately ZOOMA hopes to harness the powerful team mentality and sisterhood that women cherish to encourage active, healthy lifestyles for women and children on a national level. "
