The registration fees for the 2005 Under Armour Baltimore
Running Festival will increase on Saturday, October 1.
Currently, the registration fee for the Under Armour Baltimore
Marathon is $80 and Legg Mason Funds Team Relay is $45 per
person. To sign up for all races go to
www.thebaltimoremarathon.com. After the
September 30 registration deadline, fees for the marathon and
team relay increase by $10.
The 2005 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival begins
Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 am with races starting and
finishing at M&T Bank Stadium. Nearly 10,000 runners
participated last year and Corrigan Sports Enterprises, the
event's organizers, expect 13,000 participants in 2005 for one
of the city's premier events. The annual event draws over
300,000 spectators to the Inner Harbor.
Registration for this year's event is up 25 percent compared to
this point last year, and the CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield
Half-Marathon sold out for the third straight year.
This year's version of the festival will feature special
activities and have fun items on the course to commemorate the
race's fifth anniversary. All participants in the marathon,
half-marathon, team relay and 5K receive a performance apparel
shirt courtesy of Baltimore-based Under Armour.
