Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that Ameriprise Financial, Fig Newtons, and Frankel Land Rover of Hunt Valley have signed on as sponsors of the 2006 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival. This marks the first time each of these companies have been affiliated with the six-year event.

Ameriprise Financial, a financial planning company based out of Minneapolis, MN, sponsors the Masters Divisions (male and females 40 and older) in the marathon, half-marathon, and 5K races. As a result of their sponsorship, CSE will provide the prize money ranging from $100- $1,000.

Fig Newtons, part of the RJR Nabisco family of treats, will be the presenting sponsor of the Kids' Fun Run and will provide samples to be handed out along the marathon route for a mid-race pick-me-up and in the Comcast SportsNet Kids' Fun Zone.

Frankel Land Rover of Hunt Valley will be the official vehicle of the festival. Aside from having cars on display in the Outback Steakhouse Celebration Village, they will also provide the lead car and sag wagon for the course.

The 2006 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival, which consists of the Under Armour Baltimore Marathon, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Half-Marathon, United Way 5K, Legg Mason Funds Team Relay, and Kids' Fun Run, will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at M&T Bank Stadium. The event, now in its sixth year, has generated more than 60 million dollars in revenue for the city and more than 2.5 million dollars for local charities.

Overall registration for the event is up 27 percent compared to this time last year. The half-marathon has sold out for the third-straight year, while all other races have passed their halfway points in terms of registration numbers.

The Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival is produced by Corrigan Sports Enterprises, a leader in sports promotions in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. region. Founded in 1991, CSE owns and operates the following events: Under Armour Baltimore Marathon, The Charm City Challenge All-Star Basketball Game, The Capital Classic, the Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, the Thrash & Jam Tour presented by Slammers Ultimate Milk, and the annual Baltimore BikeJam event.
