1st PricewaterhouseCoopers Parks Half Marathon

The Montgomery County Road Runners are pleased to announce, in
partnership with the Montgomery Alliance and the Parks
Foundation, the scheduling of the inaugural
PricewaterhouseCoopers Parks Half Marathon to be run Sunday,
September 24th,
2006 at 7:00 AM.This new event will run from town center to town center.
Starting in Rockville, it will traverse scenic parkland along
the Rock Creek Stream Valley, before finishing in downtown
Bethesda. The Parks Half Marathon brings to the Washington
region a new fall event aimed directly to runners looking for a
new challenge or a final tune-up leading into fall marathon
season. The course features themed aid stations, chip timing,
rolling hills, pin-point organization, a long sleeve Brooks
premium, prizes for all age groups, including mid pack and back
of the pack awards, and a festive post race celebration in the
heart of Bethesda. The start is close to I-270 and the runners
will return to the start from Bethesda via Metrorail. The
PricewaterhouseCoopers Parks Half Marathon is limited to 2000
runners.
