Three-time Triple Ironman Champion Comes to George Mason University

The George Mason University's "Fall for the Book Festival"
takes place at the end of the month in Fairfax, VA.
Join Christopher Bergland, a Manhattan-based, world-class
endurance
athlete as he discusses his latest book, The Athlete's Way:
Sweat and the Biology of Bliss at George Mason
University's "Fall for the Book Festival".
Bergland, a three-time Triple Ironman Champion - (having
completed the
distance in a record-breaking 38 hours 46 minutes) - has
competed in the Hawaii Ironman World Championship five times,
as well as in Kiehl's Badwater Ultramarathon, a 135-mile race
through California's Death Valley. He holds the Guinness World
Record for Treadmill running and has been featured in dozens of
TV, magazine, and newspaper articles including CNN, PBS, ABC,
CBS, Fox, Men's Journal, ESPN magazine, and the L.A. Times.
Join Bergland on September 26, as he discusses the chemical
effect of exercise on the brain, neuroplasticity and the
process of re-training the mind, "superfluidity," and his own
extraordinary journey toward athleticism.
