This new race takes runners through the newest commercial development in Germantown, MD. The course has beautiful rolling hills and is sure to offer runners a smooth and exciting run. The race location is convenient to both
I-270 and Route 355 (Frederick Road) and near Germantown's biggest shopping center, Milestone Center.

Update! Goldenrod Lane is now called Seneca Meadows Parkway. Please make note of this change!

The Germantown 5-Miler takes runners through the newly built Seneca Meadows Corporate Center (photo 1) off of Route 118 in Germantown, MD. The race starts and finishes at the interection of Observation Drive and Seneca Meadows Parkway, formerly Goldenrod Lane (photos 2 and 3), behind Wal-Mart at the Milestone Shopping Center.

Mile 1: From the start at the intersection of Observation Drive and Seneca Meadows Parkway, runners head down Seneca Meadows Parkway to a turnaround point just before the intersection of Seneca Meadows Parkway and Route 118 (Germantown Road)(photos 1 and 2).
Mile 2: Runners go back down Seneca Meadows Parkway to a right turn on Observation Drive (photos 3 and 4), and take the first right turn for a brief run through an office park.

Mile 3: After coming out of the office complex, runners head right, and back on to Observation Drive. Mile 3 is located near the next big intersection, Observation Drive and Boland Farm Road (photos 1 and 2). Turning right from Observation Drive onto Boland Farm Road, runners turn around in a cul-de-sac at the end of Boland Farm Road and right again on Observation Drive, continuing to a right turn on Route 118.
Mile 4: After making a right on Route 118, runners head west toward Seneca Meadows Parkway, where the 4th mile marker sits near the turnaround point for mile 1 (photos 3 and 4) . Runners proceed down Seneca Meadows Parkway and back to the start/finish line.
