For the Washington Running Report

Photos below

  1. Jim Wright (58) is the overall winner with the fifth fastest net time as well (24:59). Note as with many runners, his trigger finger is on his watch well before the finish line.

  2. Even before the sixty-year-old men have started, early race leader Tami Graf has returned to the start at about 1500M into the race.

  3. The men from the 60-64 prepare to start.

Photos below

  1. James Moreland makes a preemptive strike as the 50-54 men begin their journey.

  2. Seventh place John Brittain (63) of Alexandria, VA leads a pack of seven runners all finishing within twenty seconds.

  3. Second overall Lou Shapiro hears footsteps from the onrushing David Haaga. Another fifty meters of course and he would not have been able to hold him off.

Photos below

  1. Veteran Walt Washburn (84) on the left knows just when to start.

  2. Former champion Steve Forman in the center starts off with the 65-69 men. Lou Shapiro on his left takes the second place overall at race's end.

  3. Fourth place Jim Noone finishes alone. Last week he was hounded for the whole last mile, which pushed him to a faster time.
