1. A terrific 4th among 550 men 40-44 years old, Laurence Kam of Alexandria, VA wrapped up his race in 1:04:51.


2. Only three women raced faster than Jen Flint, 34 of Berwyn, PA. She finished with a time of 1:02:59. Flint finished second in 2003 with a time of 1:01:40.


3. Ben Shaberman, 43 of Baltimore, MD and Thomas Johnson (purple shorts), 47 of Annandale, VA ran around Annapolis in 1:24:14.

1. Working together to reach the finish: Cindy Rafferty, 37 of Kensington, MD appears relieved to reach the end of a long run.


2. Charles Powell, 38 of Baltimore, MD races with serious intent--he placed 15th with a time of 1:00:23 and was fifth of 462 finishers in his age group. This improved on his 2003 finish for 16th place with a time of 58:11 --humid conditions slowed many runners this year.


3. Jen Hughes, 34 of Rockville, MD calmly finished her run in 1:18:49.


4. Rickie Calzado, 50 of Laurel, MD, completed his run in 1:24:01.
