1. Chris Bain, 27 of Bethesda, MD and a Capital Crescent Trail regular, placed fifth with 57:27.


2. Susan Verner and Michelle Powell of Rockville, MD shared the experience on a humid summer day. They finished in 1:46:29, along with Joe Stancliff, 50 of Owings Mills, MD (right).


3. Jim Christ, 56 of Columbia, MD finished in the middle of the pack with a time of 1:33:49.


4. Christina Morganti, closely followed by Mick Slonaker, placed sixth with a time of 1:06:17. Morganti is 39 years old and calls Severna Park, MD home; she finished seventh in the 2003 event.

1. Zack Dickerson of Elkridge, MD, won the male 19 & under division with an impressive time of 1:03:45.


2. Heidi Wood of Sherwood Forest, MD stands at the finish looking for Robin. The 39-year-old survived the course and finished in 1:24:20.


3. Jon Schoenberg flies to eleventh place, same as 2003. The humid conditions contributed to slower times this year, yet the 41-year-old from Crofton, MD ran an outstanding time of 59:13.


4. Cynthia Montjoy appears to be an incredibly fit 55-year old from Edgewater, MD; she finished in 1:55:34.

1. Moshi Smith, 22, knew the territory well and finished in a quick 1:05:53.


2. Christine Shepherd finished in the top 10% of her age group (35-39) with a clock time of 1:25:08.


3. Scott Frazier, a 43-year-old local, crossed the line in 1:28:42.


4. Mary Carter, 55 of Columbia, MD made the effort to go the entire distance and completed the route in 2:09:12.
