I. Martha Merz, 40 of Mystic, CT placed second and won the women's masters division in 59:49. Behind her, 45-year-old Donald Holdridge of Clarks Summit, PA ran with the 77th RSC Golden Torch and 19-year-old Victor Figueroa (#1244) ran with the USMA Team Grey at West Point, NY.

II. The winning male masters runner, Sammy Ngatia (age 43) of Fort Carson, CO ran 51:17 with a three minute margin of victory.

III. Elizabeth Scanlon, 31 years, tuned up for her Marine Corps Marathon win on October 27th with a third place finish in 1:00:19 (6:01/mile pace). Saint Saintilien, 25 of Fort Carson, CO finished just ahead of her in 1:00:17.

I. A soldier with many miles experience, third place finisher Christopher England clocked 49:13 for these ten miles.

II. The men's second master finisher, #184 Gaetano DiMarzo of Rome, Italy, strains to reach the finish line. The 42-year-old came through in 54:28. #71 Shannon Swords, 32 of the USAREUR team placed 6th in his 30-34 age group.

III. Fourth and flying in at 49:28, Sandu Rebeneiuc hails from Lafayette, CO and is 33 years old.

I. It's not a fairy tale - women can run. Representing the Eighth Army Korea, 35-year-old Heidi Grimm placed fifth with her outstanding 1:01:53. The sixth woman and second masters, Jacqueline Chen (#959, 40 years) also ran a sparkling race with the USAREUR team.

II. #76 Jason Barnes, age 39 of Salem, MA and the Raytheon team and #188 Domenico Spina, age 31 of Rome, Italy finished in 55:51.

III. Sarah Hallenbeck of Charlotte, NC and 26 years old completed the run in fine form with a sizzling 1:05:59.
