Scores of runners came to the Washington Renaissance Hotel to pick up their race packets early. Local vendors were on hand for the Cherry Blossom Expo, promoting running apparel, nutritional products, upcoming area races, running clubs and more.

1. Bill Rodgers returned this year to run the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, and came out for the Expo to sign autographs for fans. Bill won the race four times between 1978 and 1981, and had four wins at the Boston and New York City Marathons.
2. At the end of the day, Kate Fuller, Rick Freedman and Debbe Kirk set up the laptops and get ready to make last minute changes.
3. Deb Beneke makes sure the equipment is ready for the big race.
