In spite of the rainy skys, over 1,500 runners came out for the
24th running of the Capitol Hill Classic. Below, runners head
out on a wet, but enjoyable, 10K course.

1. Erik Kean of Washington, DC breaks a course record finishing
first with a time of 30:39.
2. Kean receives a congratulations for his feat - the course
record was held by Jim Hage and has been untouched since 1990!
3. Chris Banks leads Glen Mays to the finish - Banks takes
second overall with 31:34, Mays a close third with 31:35.

1. The first female finisher was Atalelech Ketema, with a time
of 35:25. Ketema won the women's competition at the
Germantown 5-Miler the day before.
2. Lynn Knothe of Wilmington, DE took second for the women with
37:50.
3. Victoria McFarland, a recent transplant from England,
finished out the top three in the women's division finishing
with 38:39.
