1. Ranked Runner Erin Swain (24) of Clifton, VA won her only other race this winter, a 5K in 18:21, by a couple of steps. In this 10K she was runner-up in 37:30.


2. Ranked Runner Feng Sun (37) of Columbia, MD cruised to victory last week at the Valentine's 5K in Millersville in 18:43. Today, she worked extra hard to commandeer third place in 38:08.


3. Ranked Runner Hilary Cairns (36) of Washington, DC was runner-up at the Acumen Solutions Jingle All the Way 10K in December with 38:15. In February she has a top flight masters runner in Ranked Runner Linda Foley (44) of Oak Hill, VA right on her shoulder. They finished in an identical 38:48.

1. Ranked Runner Kelly Dworak (44) of Burke, VA has had a great winter including an overall win and two fine half marathons. Today, she settles for second masters just out of reach with 39:02.


2. Ranked Runner Victoria Lynch (33) of Washington, DC is normally a shorter distance runner, running the 5K in 2006 with three wins and never out of the top three. Her best 5k was 18:02. In the 10K, she ran 39:10 to finish eighth woman.


3. The bridge was a four time up and down ride as the course was a double out and back loop.

1. The course is dead flat except for the bridge. Here runners advance on the first turnaround at 2.5K.


2. The water was cold but fortunately not frozen.


3. Ranked Runner Bill Taylor (58) of Woodbridge, VA won the Fall Rankings with a torrid 61:44 win at Army in the fall. He finished second grandmaster in ten-year age groups in the 10K with 38:29.
