1. 5K and 10K runners take off together at the start of the 8th annual Maryland Day Run for Hospice.
2. Happy faces at the start.
3. A large contingent of walkers, some with dogs and baby strollers, took off behind the runners.

1. Caroline Tynan of Sterling, VA won the women's 5K race, and placed second overall, in 17:38, a 5:41 pace.
2. Paul Chasen of Lexington Park, MD was second in the men's 5K with his time of 17:51.
3. Brian Isleib of Leonardtown, MD was third in the 5K in 18:05.

1. Margaret Polcawich of Derwood, MD, second woman in the 5K, ran a 6:40 pace.
2. Rhiana Stockman of Hughesville, MD was the third woman with her time of 23:33.
3. Yvonne Fortescue of Lexington Park, MD was third in the 10K in 50:09. She is followed closely by Dennis Barr of Ridge, MD (50:11).
4. Jason Smith of Hughesville, MD, followed by Chris Williar of Lexington Park.
