Maryland Day 10K/5K Run for Hospice

  1. Spectators on the course cheer for Mike Granger of California, MD, who finished the 5K in 21:11.

  2. Dana Rebarchick (169) of California, MD, leads a pack of runners to the finish line in the 5K.

  3. Eleven year old Tommy Youngblood of Hollywood, MD, sprints to the 5K finish line, crossing in 22:33.

  1. Michelle Adams (290) travelled from Richmond, VA, to run the 5K.

  2. 5K runners crossing the finish line and entering the corral to catch their breath, drink some water and return their ChampionChips.

  3. 5K walkers enjoy a race to the finish in the 10K by Alex Smith (495) and Greg Tippett (77). Smith held on to edge Tippett by one second at the line.

  1. Kay Carver of Chesapeake Beach, MD, was the third place female in the 10K, running a 7:24 pace.

  2. Kara Little is all smiles coming into the 10K finish. She placed first in her age group and was the sixth female finisher.

  3. Ryan Hitchman of Tall Timbers, MD, ran the 10K in 48:19.

  1. After finishing the race, runners check to see how well they did against the competition...

  2. ...and then line up for a fabulous post-race brunch including hot dogs, soup, pastry and pasta salad!

  3. Have a piece of cake to celebrate Maryland Day!
