1. While other runners were gasping for air, Chris Craun (641) of Bethesda, MD was thanking volunteers as she amped up her pace in the final mile. She was tenth overall in 46:05.


2. Last year David Haaga (46) of Rockville, MD tied and lost the course age group record to Mark Malander in 34:25, finishing fourth place overall. This year he moved to third overall in 35:16 with Jean-Christophe Arcaz, also 46 and from Rockville, MD, pushing him along with his 35:44.


3. Runners bunch up as they turn the final corner for home in the 10K.
