1. Barry Goldmeier, aka "The Joggler," juggles throughout the entire race. Although he always starts at the back of the pack, he finished in 272nd place out of 340 finishers (49:00).


2. Out on the course, Scott Douglas (38) of Bethesda is close on Dan Murphy's heels. They finished 3-4, with Murphy edging Douglas by 18 seconds.


3. Anthony Belber (29) of Washington, DC, clocked 27:14 for his fourth win in six years.

1. Margaret Hanson (22) of Rockville, MD, ran unchallenged from the second mile. She broke the tape in 30:27. Just behind is Patrick Griffith (57) of Alexandria, VA, 9th overall and 1st in his age group.


2. Ann Reed (28) of Columbia, MD, was the second woman in 31:16; Kathleen Filipczyk (26) of Chevy Chase was just two seconds behind.


3. Meg Busse (25) of Washington, DC, won the race in 2001. She improved her time slightly for 4th place in 31:25.

2. Rollin Bell (39) of Chevy Chase edges Bernie Greene (58) of Silver Spring. Bernie writes for the Washington Running Report among other publications.


3. Jennifer Gibson (32) of Washington, DC was the ninth woman, finishing in 35:21.

1. Katharine Daragan (46) of Silver Spring was 1st in her age group. She finished alongside Larry Attanasio (50) of Ellicott City in 37:17, good for 4th in his age group.

3. Bill Sollers (63) of Silver Spring, finished just two seconds behind Elizabeth Sadoff (53) of Washington. She was 2nd in her age group in 43:06.
