  1. Mark Malm, (#1190) of Centreville, must have hosted his younger brother for Thanksgiving. He would finish in 23:37. Vienna's Janet Townshend (#57) ran 24:14 for the 5K.

  2. Centreville's Richard Craft (#1439) started a minute back and finished in 25:28. It took the field of 1800+ runners 3:30 to clear the starting line!

  3. James Komen (14) of Springfield, VA was 20th among men, and first in the 11-14 division with his 18:05

  2. Fifty Plus Club member Peter Blank (#55) can be seen striding in to the finish amidst a crowd of 7-minute milers

  2. Laurel's Joel Dawson (#371) races Kyle Taura of Oak Hill, VA to the finish, beating him by one second

  3. Many youngsters ran the 5K. Greg Mihokvich (12) of Centreville, who finished in 28:15, was one of 98 in his age division

  1. Thanksgiving Day races bring out the families. Scott and Rose Funk of Fairfax finish hand-in-hand

  2. Another couple, Paul and Jennifer Ellis of Bristow, VA, coming in to the finish together at 29:31 on the clock

  3. One of the race organizers, Willi Williams (aka "The Cat in the Hat"), kept runners moving through the corral at the finish
