Join us in Vienna, Virginia, for the 8th annual CapitalOne
Toucan 10K race, and help support Alternative House. Course
The race course is fast and flat and it is USATF certified (VA01014RT).
The race starts in the scenic historic district of Vienna and
moves onto the W&OD Trail. It starts and finishes at Centennial Park in downtown
Vienna. See the

Awards
Cash awards for the top three overall 10K finishers, male and female
($100, $75, $50),
and merchandise or gift certificates to the top male and female in
each of the following
10-year age groups: 19 & under, 20-29,
30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. All
participants are eligible for
random awards. The awards ceremony will take place immediately
following the race.
Entry Fees and Early Registration
$20 on or before June 12
$25 after June 12 and on race day
ChampionChip owners may deduct $2 from their 10K registration
fee.
All participants will receive a colorful t-shirt and other
goodies and will enjoy post-race refreshments and entertainment.

Late Registration and Packet Pick-up
Register on-site or pick up your race number, T-shirt, and
ChampionChip on Friday, June 18, 4 to 7 pm, at Vienna Presbyterian Church,
124 Park Street, Vienna, VA 22180.
On race day, registration opens at 7:00 am at Centennial
Park in downtown Vienna, VA (Church & Dominion Streets).

Charity Beneficiary
Alternative House exists to provide help to children, teenagers,
and their families. Beginning as a small runaway shelter for
teenagers in 1972, Alternative House has evolved into a
significantly larger organization and system of services
designed to respond to the changing needs of today's young
people. Your support of Alternative House programs helps make it
possible to assist thousands of young people and their
families.
Alternative House programs include:
The Emergency Shelter for Teenagers - a shelter for abused,
homeless and runaway teens
Youth Outreach - neighborhood-based counselors work with
at-risk young people to prevent drug abuse and violence
AYM (Assisting Young Mothers)- a home for pregnant and
parenting teens
The Culmore Teen Center - a drop-in center for at-risk youth
Van Outreach - providing food, blankets and emergency referrals
to youth and families in need
Crisis Hotline - free counseling and referrals for youth and
families 24 hours a day at 1-800-SAY-TEEN.

Location and Directions
The race will take place in Centennial Park (on the W&OD Trail)
in downtown Vienna, Virginia. From DC or the Beltway, take I-66
West to Nutley Street, go North on Nutley for 1 mile, turn right
on Route 123 (Maple Avenue), go 1/2 mile to Center Street, turn
left,
one block to Church Street, turn right, go one block, park is
on the left.
