Parking & Directions to West Potomac Park

Parking
There is no parking on Ohio Drive in West Potomac Park in the vicinity of the start/finish line. There is no parking along Independence Avenue at any time.

Look for side street parking north of Constitution Avenue NW between 18th and 23rd Streets NW.

Directions
From NW Washington or Montgomery County:
Take a major artery south into the District and downtown Washington, D.C. Look for parking south of Pennsylvania Avenue and north of Constitution Avenue, NW, between 18th and 23rd Streets.

From downtown Washington, head south on 17th, 19th, 21st or 23rd Streets, NW. Look for side street parking between Constitution Ave, NW and G Street, NW. Please allow plenty of time before the start to locate a parking space.

From Virginia (west): Take I-66 to the US 50E/Constitution Ave, NW exit. I-66 crosses the Potomac River into the District at Constitution Ave, NW. Look for side street parking north of Constitution Ave, NW between 18th and 23rd Streets, NW. Please allow plenty of time before the start to locate a parking space.

From Virginia (south): Take I-395 North, cross the Potomac River (14th Street bridge). In the District, the Washington Monument will be on your left. Make a left onto Constitution Ave, NW. Look for side street parking north of Constitution Ave, NW between 18th and 23rd Streets NW. Please allow plenty of time before the start to locate a parking space.

Metrorail Opens at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday

Please consider having a friend drop you off at Independence Avenue and Ohio Drive, SW before the 10K run, then ride Metrorail home.

The closest stop to the event site is Foggy Bottom/GWU on the Orange and Blue lines. The stop is located at 23rd & H Streets, NW.

To get to the Foggy Bottom station from the race site, go north on Ohio Drive, pass the Lincoln Memorial, and walk or jog north along 23rd Street, NW to H Street, NW.

If you ride Metrorail to the event, walk south along 23rd Street past the State Department and Lincoln Memorial. Pass on the east side of Lincoln and look south to the Potomac River. That park adjacent to the river is the race staging area.

Bicycling

If you live on within biking distance of the race site, on Capitol Hill, near Dupont Circle, in Adams Morgan, or Georgetown, a bicyclist can reach West Potomac Park in a half hour or less. If the weekend forecast indicates dry conditions, consider bicyling to the Veterans Day 10K.

West Potomac Park is on the Potomac River
