Starting at Tydings Park in historic Havre De Grace overlooking the Marina and Chesapeake Bay, runners embark on Union Avenue which is lined with Victorian homes. Runners then approach the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge. 7,624 feet long and nearly 100 feet high, the Hatem Bridge provides a breathtaking view of the Susquehanna River emptying into the Chesapeake Bay. Awaiting on the other side is Perryville and a run along Aiken Avenue, a tree-lined street with turn-of-the-century charm. The course then leads to a loop around Perryville Community Park and Perry Point VA Medical Center campus which are perched at the head of the Chesapeake Bay providing sweeping water views. The course makes a turn again through Perryville and another pass across the Hatem Bridge towards Havre De Grace. The last two miles wind through downtown. The half marathon ends with a final dash past the Decoy Museum and Maritime Museum towards the finish line at Tydings Park.
