Timed 5k over a closed road course in AU park — 1k fun run also available. Start/finish is one block from the Tenleytown Metro stop. Proceeds benefit Janney Elementary School PTA and all are welcome!
Get ready for a flat, fast, and tree-lined out-and-back 5K along Main Line Boulevard and Potomac Ave. in the charming Potomac Yard neighborhood. You’ll start and finish just behind George Washington Middle School (enter via Mt. Vernon Ave.), where crisp fall air and vibrant autumn leaves set the scene for a memorable race. 1K Fun Run starts at 8 AM and 5K Race starts at 8:30 AM.

Meet Olympians. Run for a Cause. Win a Car. Everyone is welcome! Receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and giveaways before the event, and a finisher’s medal and snacks after you cross the finish line. Olympians will be there as guests of honor and come meet them. Family-friendly 5K fun run, walk, or jog, and a 1K for children.

Three distances – 8K, 2M, and 1K – all starting and finishing at Kensington Town Hall.
The 8K runs through historic Kensington, going past Warner Mansion, along Antique Row, beside 120+ year-old houses and around Noyes Library, the oldest library in MoCo. Then it heads down Kensington Parkway to an out-and-back along beautiful Beach Drive before returning to the Town for a fast finish.
