This event is for kids 17 years and under and part of the MCRRC Youth Series. In the interest of promoting youth fitness, these races are free to anyone age 17 and under, but participants must be registered by a parent!
The City of Rockville, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC), welcomes all to participate in this fall running tradition. The 10K and 5K are on the streets of the King Farm community for a scenic and challenging, yet rewarding, course. It is an ideal venue to cap off your summer/fall training and kick off the upcoming winter running season. Participants of all abilities are welcome.
Dashing through the snow to an 8K race today… Put on some festive holiday gear and join us at the Rockville Senior Center for the Jingle Bell Jog. The course winds through a quiet residential neighborhood and is followed by our annual meeting, open to all members.
Free for MCRRC members; $15 plus fees for non-members over age 18; $10 plus fees for non-members under age 18. The kids’ run is free but participants must register in advance.
The theme for this race is school spirit! So come dressed and ready to run in your favorite school’s team apparel!
This event includes an 8K race and a young run (.8 miles) that goes around the lake.
Enjoy this scenic, flat 5k or 10k that runs along a bike path through Mason Neck State Park. We’ll also host a kids 1 mile race that will start at the same time as the 5k and utilizes the same trail.

The Tekau’s Heart Memorial 5K Run/1 Mile Walk is held in memory of Tekau Rasayon, who passed away suddenly on March 28, 2012 from an anomalous coronary artery (ACA) while running on her high school track. She was 17 years old. The Tekau’s Heart Memorial 5K Run/1 Mile Walk is held to raise awareness about heart conditions that can occur in teens and young adults and in memory of Tekau Rasayon; who was an active senior at Surrattsville High School (SHS) in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She served as Vice President of her senior class and was a Cadet Colonel in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). She was an avid leader and companion, who continuously gave back and acted as a role model exhibiting excellence, kindness, and diligence.
Come out and enjoy this scenic, challenging Sippin’ Series course and enjoy a well-earned post-race glass of wine.
