The third annual Friends of Lake Accotink Park-FLAP Beaver Boogie 5k Fun Run/Walk will occur 29 (packet pick up DAY OF) 9am Race start 10am November at Lake Accotink Park, 7500 Accotink Park Rd, Springfield VA 22150. Early packet pick up at Kilroys 5250 Port Royal Rd, Springfield VA on 28 November 5-7pm (on the back deck). Enjoy the varied terrain course for this race is, sure to challenge and be an exciting change of pace for all runners and walkers. All ages welcome. All entries receive, gift bag, ticket for raffle – New Kayak and More. This is an annual event which continues to raise awareness and resources to support our organization’s mission. As a 100% volunteer organization – all donations go directly to support our projects and programs at Lake Accotink Park. THANK YOU

College Park Turkey Trot is a FREE 5K run/walk on the beautiful Paint Branch Trail, presented by College Park parkrun, together with the City of College Park and Prince George’s Parks. 9am on Thanksgiving morning, Nov 27. No fuss: one-time registration for a free parkrun barcode, then just show up. No swag, no lines, no fuss. But with free hot drinks and free event photos.
Depending on whether you choose to be a Devil or an Angel, you will start at either Pratt Park (Devils) or St Clair Brooks (Angels).
