Join Arts on the Horizon in Fort Hunt Park as we host our very first 5K Fun Run/Walk and 1k Kids Dash!

Meet us at 7:30am on Saturday, September 29th for some family-friendly fun. A pre-run warm-up will be lead by Fitness on the Run!

Families are invited to run or walk to support Arts on the Horizon’s arts education programs and performances. In addition to the race, we will have activities throughout the morning to offer fun ways to show your support. Some of these activities include free post race massages, free photo booth, craft tables and balloon animals for kids, t-shirts, kids’ finisher medals, and post race refreshments.

The 11th annual Wildcat 5K and Family Fun Run on Saturday, September 29 is a great way to start the fall running season in Northern Virginia.
5K Race times will be professionally provided by RaceWire.
Start times: 8:30AM-5K / 8:35AM – FAMILY FUN RUN

The 5K course is shady and scenic, going through gently rolling hills in McLean, VA. The half-mile Family Fun Run takes runners around Saint Luke Catholic Church and Saint Luke Catholic School, and then across the finish line, where they are awarded with commemorative finisher medals.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will take place at Saint Luke Catholic School on Friday, September 28 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM.

Join VIDA Fitness at our 4th annual 5k Run/Walk! This year’s race will take place on October 13th, 2018 at 8am at Hains Point! Again, all race profits will benefit Thrive DC – a non-profit organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the DC area. We invite the entire community to join us for this fun, flat race through DC’s beautiful waterfront. Whether this is your first 5k or your hundredth we’d love for you to join us for a morning full of fun! Run with your friends, family, kids, pets, or solo – just come run with us and help us raise even more money than last year for a great cause!

Walk Like MADD is our signature non-competitive 5k Walk/Dash to help Mothers Against Drunk Driving raise both awareness and funds to eliminate drunk driving.

This year we are partnering with The Herndon Police Department and Walk Like MADD will take place at the Herndon Police Station.

A 5K run/walk to support conflict journalists and freedom of the press, in honor of the late Jim Foley, who lost his life in Syria in 2014. There are runs all over the world. The DC run/walk is Sat. This event will raise money to benefit the Westminster School programs and support learning and enrichment opportunities for students and teachers.

The James Madison High School Band will be hosting the 16th Annual Vienna Turkey Trot 5K/10K and Kids’ Fun Run on Sunday, November 18, 2018. The 5K and 10K, which kick off at 8:30 am, are run on USTAF certified courses. Parents do not need to register to run with their children in the Kids’ Fun Run, which starts at 8:00 am.

All proceeds benefit the JMHS “Pride of Vienna” Band and the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Join us for a great run, super music, fun prizes, refreshments after the race and the Finish Line Festival!

SOME’s Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger–now in its 17th year–brings thousands of people together on Thanksgiving Day to run or walk to help SOME end homelessness and hunger in our nation’s capital. By registering, you are helping to provide much-needed food, clothing, healthcare, and more to the over 10,000 people in need that SOME serves each year.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation’s capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing, and health care. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness.

Join us for the 4th Annual Turkey Trot for Parkinson’s 5k and 1 mile Gobble Wobble.

Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. We’ll be at the Workhouse for the Arts in Lorton, Virginia. There are two distances: 5k and 1 Mile.

Proceeds from this TeamFox event benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, a race bib, a race “swag” bag with giveaways and coupons, the race itself, and great post-race refreshments.
