Parks Half-Marathon showcases one of the most extensive metropolitan parks systems in the country while providing runners with a competitive, top-notch race.

The race begins just before sunrise, at 6:45 AM, on a scenic Montgomery County road and quickly transitions into a tour of beautiful Rock Creek Park. As you run through the park, you’ll experience the sun rising through the tree cover and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Mile markers help keep you on track, and we also have an excellent pace team ready to help you reach your goals.

Come run the infamous Riley’s Rumble Half Marathon for a challenging and rewarding race experience.

Do you love running hills? Do you love running in summer heat? Does the DC area humidity inspire you to get out and sweat it out? If you said yes to any of these questions, or even if you didn’t, come out & join us — you won’t regret it! It’s generally understood that Riley’s Rumble is not a good idea for your first half marathon, but that depends on your personal level of crazy!

Come out and enjoy this scenic half & 5k in the heart of Georgetown near the Nation’s Capital. Both events run on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, however the Half Marathon begins/ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club while the 5K begins/ends at Fletcher’s Boat House

Walkers and strollers are welcome to attend this event.
