Athletes from local metro-area college outdoor track-and-field teams recently were singled out for their spring performances by earning 2026 all-conference honors.
Some of those athletes also are participating in various NCAA championship meets at different levels of competitions.
Following is a list of some of the honorees.
American University: Two American University athletes were chosen to the all-Patriot League team. The men’s selections were Carver Morgan and Kaden Kluth.
Catholic University: Catholic University had more than three dozen athletes earn all-Landmark Conference honors.
Selected for the men were Michael Brunet, Peter Winter, Kendrick DuPree, Sean Owens, Emmanuel Olarewaju, Christian Di Nicolantonio, Quinn Brubaker, Nathan Chaney, Calvin Hernandez, Romell Randolph, Tim Brown and Joey Locke.
Chosen for the women were Kortney Clipper, Erin Buckley, Ainsley Reisman, Sarah Schumacher, Olivia Sobkowicz, Laurel McMahon, Mia McConnell, Mya Sampong, Brigid Byrnes and Zoey Brown.
Howard University: Howard University’s men’s honorees to the all-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams were Jabari Dillard, Tarike Lavine, Ashton Thomas, Drew Dillard, Jorim Bangue, Sean Wray and Roman Mills.
Howard women making all-MEAC were Nilijah Darden, Yahnari Lyons, Marcia Sey, Zoe Turner, Cenaiya Billups, Tiffany Mugubi, Mackenzie Robinson, Alexis Jones, Kinnidi Hampton, Temi Banwo, Lauren Thompson, Ester Kirk, Lindsay Johnson and Jasmen Walker.
U.S. Naval Academy: Nearly three dozen athletes from the U.S. Naval Academy performed well enough to earn all-Patriot League.
The men were Justin Mumford, Brian Schloeder, Sheldon Ulmer, Aidan Eberhardt, James Partlow, Matthew Newell, Ryan Du Plessis, Merrick Hocking, William Pierce, Malachi Cummings, Nick Simmons, Jamison Scott, Simon Alexander, Connor McFadden, Nathan Kent, Cooper Wakley, Jackson Nguyen, Jason Keiser, David Walker, Ayden Henley, William Yurich and Marcel Jackson.
Women were Caroline Rey, Sophia Richter, Savannah Swanda, Sophie Compton, Jia Anderson, Mia-Claire Kezal, Sara McConnell, Zoie Tesi and Helen Emerick.
Georgetown University: Eighteen Georgetown University athletes earned all-Big East honors. The men’s team placed 11 on the squad, while the women added seven.
Men were Alex Pelov, Tommy Shaw, Daniel McCarthy, Edwin Klanke, Birhanu Harriman, Jaden Marchan, Natanael Vigo Catala, MacCallum Rowe, Nicholas Givan and Tinoda Matsatsa.
Women were Almi Nerurkar, Barrett Justema, Lillie Bogdan, Charlotte Tomkinson, Ida Moczerniuk, Melissa Riggins and Mary Grace Hegberg.
George Mason University: George Mason University men earning all-Atlantic-10 Conference honors were Jordan Edwards, Jalen Johnson, Denver Shields, Mason Samuels, Cameron Portis, Kellen Le Roche, Davian Burke, Lloyd Sheppard-Brown, Joziah Johnson, Caleb Hymans, Paul McClain, Nicholas Emmert, Messiah McKinley, Alex DeRoussel and Walter Bannerman.
George Mason women earning that honor were Ella Semple, Abigail Weening and Kennedy Drish.
George Washington University: George Washington University had one man, Michael Bohlke, earn all-Atlantic 10 Conference honors.
The women had many more, including Hadley Mahoney, Una Boylan, Olivia Clark, Marcella Mancini, Lainey Goldstein, Amaka Agwu and Megan Heidebrecht.
University of Maryland: No University of Maryland athletes earned all-Big 10 honors. Some of the team’s top performers during the 2026 spring outdoor season were Jennessa Wolfe, Morgan Graham, Rose Coats, Rowan Spikes and Mehdi Guerrah.
Those five qualified for the NCAA track-and-field east first-round competition.
Marymount University: Atlantic East Conference selections for the Marymount University men were Samuel Struggs, Bryan Bivens, Jaythan Dumas, Judah Onassis-Lee, Reuben McEachern, Henry Brys, Cadyn Johnson and Ta’Sharde Graham.
Marymount women chosen were Ilana Hawkins, Gabriela Titone, Minnie Morris, Marisa Roscetti, Brier Amerlinck, Briana Lee, Madeleine Pare, Esther Paz, Abby Hughes and Emerson Aber.
Gallaudet University: Gallaudet University athletes chosen to the all-United East Conference were Sevan Ikeda, Andrae’ Green and Andrew Suarez for the men. For the women, Jala Furdge was chosen to the conference’s all-sportsmanship team.
University of the District of Columbia: Making all-East Coast Conference for the University of the District of Columbia women’s team were Kayla Cooper, Tukey Francis, Kyndra Hines, Kayleigh Shelton, Zoe Shaw, Ryana Goldson, Janel Baxter, Samantha Morrison, Mariela Hernandez and Dayna Thompson.
The college does not field a men’s track-and-field team.
