- Matthew Centrowitz, son of American University cross country and track coach Matt Centrowitz, won the IAAF World Indoor Championships 1,500 meters, running 3:44.22 to edge the Czech Republic’s Jakub Halusa by .08 seconds. Centrowitz went to Broadneck High School, near Annapolis.
- The Marine Corps Marathon entry lottery is open through noon Wednesday, March 30. Entrants will be notified March 31.
