- The National Capital Region Draft Paved Trail Study, which helps guide development of the network of paved paths throughout the D.C. area, has been released for public review and comment through May 19.
- George Mason defended its Atlantic 10 men’s track and field championship, at home, on the backs of five event-winning performances, including Steven Flynn‘s 5,000 meter victory. George Washington sophomore Miranda DiBlasio became the Colonials’ first conference champion when she won the 10,000 meters.
- Falls Church native and Thomas Jefferson alumnus Christo Landry, now of Charlotte, won the USA Half Marathon Championships April 30 in Columbus, Ohio, running 1:02:52.
