Charity Information

Cedar Mountain 5K and 10K Rally is Cedar Mountain Battlefield Foundation’s (CMBF )   first race.  CMBF is a non profit all volunteer organization that is the steward of the Cedar Mountain Battlefield that relies entirely on donations and proceeds from events such as this to maintain, preserve and interpret this community asset.

The Cedar Mountain Battlefield is more than just a historical site of a horrific Civil War battle on August 9, 1862.  It is also a 160 acres of nature reserve with a large variety of wildflowers and birds. It is a community park that is always open to the public with well-maintained trails for birding enthusiasts, dog walkers and runners.  And lastly, it is very scenic with both wooded and open areas.

By participating in our race, we are financially assisting CMBF in carrying out its stewardship mission.

Race Start Time

10k – 9:45am

5k – 10am

Registration Fees

5k – $35, until September 15 ($40)

10k – $45, until September 15 ($50)

***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance

T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before September 18.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.
