Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland presents the 9th Annual Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, March 29, 2020, beginning at 8:30 am. Join us as we explore our new neighborhood of Jonestown and wind through Little Italy, Harbor East and the Inner Harbor. This year, we will be shuffling in an attempt to break a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title for the largest gathering of people wearing mismatched socks.
Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers of the race, largest team, top individual and team fundraisers. In eight years, over 10,000 Red Shoe Shufflers have raised more than $2.4 million in support of RMHC Maryland kids and families.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. RMHC Maryland, the only Ronald McDonald House in Maryland, has been home to more than 40,000 families since 1982. RMHC Maryland serves as an extension of care for six Baltimore-area hospitals including the University of Maryland Medical Center; R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center; Johns Hopkins Hospital; The Rubin Institute at Sinai Hospital; Kennedy Krieger Institute and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. All RMHC-operated and supported programs, enable family-centered care, provide a bridge to quality health care, are a vital part of the health care continuum and give children and families the time they need to cope better together.
